February 12: A Red-Letter Date
Filed under biocatalysisFeb 12Coincidentally, today marks the birthdays of two influential men: Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin. It is impossible to underestimate the contributions both have made toward evolution: Lincoln to the evolution of America and Darwin to the evolution of science. Darwin’s theories spawned an enormous amount of research into biological sciences, to which the current progress of biotechnology and biocatalysis owes much. Today, I salute them both.
