Daicel

Daicel is an established leader in chiral separations using chiral stationary phases for column chromatography. Chiral stationary phases developed by Daicel and its subsidiaries Chiral Technologies, Inc. and Chiral Technologies Europe have been used extensively for research, process development, pilot-scale production, and commercial manufacturing. The use of enzymes offers an alternative to chiral chromatography, and often enzymatic alternatives can produce single stereoisomers in higher chiral purity and at lower cost. Daicel entered the enzyme business in 2008, offering screening sets of enzymes for chiral synthesis and resolution applications. Sales are largely made in Japan, with little visible sales effort occurring outside of Japan.
