Providers of Enzymes for Chemical Synthesis Applications: Biocatalysis Enzymes
The following companies offer enzymes for biocatalysis applications. Some of these companies (for example, Amano Enzymes or Meito Sangyo) specialize in just a few enzymes for which they are the only supplier. Other companies have broader product lines, including enzymes that can be purchased in sets that can be screened. Buying screening sets has the advantage that many enzymes in a reaction class can be evaluated in parallel to find the best one for a desired application.
Some companies on this list provide sets containing all necessary ingredients for screening (for example, a ketoreductase screening set that contains, in addition to the enzymes, the necessary reduced nicotinamide cofactor, reaction buffer, positive controls), and even a protocol for screening. Others simply offer the enzymes in a set. The companies are listed here in alphabetical order.
